Important Notice to All Attendees
We are aware of ongoing scams targeting conference attendees, including those attending the Joint CDDW™-CLM Conference 2025. These scams often involve fraudulent offers for hotel accommodations and attendee lists. Please read the following information carefully to protect yourself from these scams.
MCI Canada is the official housing provider and conference organizer for CDDW™-CLM and all affiliate programs. Neither MCI Canada or its contracted hotel partners the Delta Hotels Quebec City, Hilton Quebec City, or Chateau Laurier will call you to try to sell you rooms or registrations. If you receive a call or email from anyone trying to direct you to purchase registrations or accommodations through an illegal third-party website, this is a scam. Please report suspicious activity to the conference organizer MCI Canada.
The conference hotels still may be able to accommodate your reservation. Please call the Chateau Laurier at 1 800-463-4453, the Delta at 1-888-236-2427, or the Hilton at +1 418-647-2411 to discuss your options. Please make sure you mention you are part of the 2025 Joint CDDW™-CLM Conference in order to secure the reduced rate.
Please be aware of any messages coming from sources not affiliated with CDDW™-CLM. Avoid interaction with them.
Valid emails come from @wearemci.com and @mci-agency.com.

What is a Hotel and Attendee-list Scam?
Hotel Scams: Scammers may contact you, claiming to represent the conference or a travel agency, offering discounted hotel rates. These offers may result in your personal and financial information being compromised.
Attendee-list Scams: Scammers may offer to sell you a list of conference attendees, including their contact information. These lists are often fake, and purchasing them can lead to identity theft and other security issues.
How to Protect Yourself
Book Through Official Channels: Always book your hotel accommodations through the official conference website or directly with the hotel. Avoid third-party offers that are not verified by the conference organizers.
Verify Communications: If you receive an email or phone call offering hotel deals or attendee lists, verify the source. Contact the conference organizers directly using the contact information provided on the official website.
Be Skeptical of Unsolicited Offers: Be cautious of unsolicited offers, especially those that seem too good to be true. Scammers often use high-pressure tactics to get you to act quickly.
Protect Your Personal Information: Never provide your personal or financial information to unknown or unverified sources. Ensure that any website you use for bookings is secure (look for “https” in the URL).
Report Suspicious Activity: If you suspect you have been targeted by a scam, report it to the conference organizers and your local authorities immediately.
By staying vigilant and following these guidelines, you can help protect yourself and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience at the Joint CDDW™-CLM Conference 2025.
